[MT-users] Switching comments off blogs wholesale

Hi folks,

On the request of a "finished" blog owner I've figured out how to
switch off comments across a whole blog to cut down on spam. If anyone
else would like me to do that I'm happy to.

Any *new* entries will have comments  (and/or pings) open/closed as
per your default in your config so this isn't a permanent phenomenon,
it's just a convenient way of setting a point-in-time state across the
whole blog. There isn't a way of changing comment authorisation
en-masse like this through the interface; I have to muck about with
the database, in case you were wondering how to do this yourself :-)
